CASTME links science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) educators across the Commonwealth. It has a UK-based board of trustees, with regional groups in Africa, Asia, and Europe.

Membership of CASTME and the use of the name and Commonwealth logo have to be approved through returns made by the CASTME trustees by the accreditation office at the Commonwealth Secretariat Accreditation committee in June each year. Details of such groups should be sent to the CASTME secretary who will send relevant forms.
No group may use a country name.
The former branches in Nigeria, Jamaica, Mauritius and India are not accredited. They have failed to submit the relevant details, including financial accounts
